Deathbat adalah logo band Avenged Sevenfold yang dirancang oleh seorang teman SMA Avenged Sevenfold, yaitu Mikha Montague, Seperti yang terlihat pada DVD pertama A7x. Deathba telah muncul di semua album A7x.
Deathbat telah berkembang dari hanya yang tengkorak (kepala) dengan sayap, kadang kadang muncul dengan ukuran penuh atau berbentuk manusia (kerangka penuh) dengan sayap kelelawar yang dapat kita lihat pada cover album City of Evil dan Nightmare, serta pada single Dear God dan Scream. Pada album Sounding The Seventh Trumpet, terdapat gambar dua orang yang tampaknya Kain dan Habel, dan malaikat dengan manusia (sepertinya Deathbat). Jimmy memperoleh sepasang stik drum pada usia lima tahun, dan ia menerima drumnya sendiri pada usia sepuluh tahun. Hanya dalam waktu satu tahun, dia sudah bermain "The Black Page" dengan mahasiswa dalam ansambel perkusi yang dilakukan oleh gurunya.

Di SMA, bergabung dengan Avenged Sevenfold sebagai salah satu anggota pendiri band ini.
Jimmy adalah drummer band beraliran ska band Suburban Legends.
Pada usia 18 tahun dia merekam album pertama a7x dengan judul "Sounding The Seventh Trumpet". Kemudian dalam hidupnya ia dipengaruhi oleh drumer vinnie paul, mike portnoy, dan Terry Bozzio. Pada DVD a7x yang berjudul All Excess, zacky mengatakan bahwa sebelum dia memasuki a7x, dia sempat menjadi anggota dari grup band beraliran punk rock bernama MPA atau Mad Porno Action yang gagal mencapai sukses. Maka dari itu Zacky bersama dengan M. Shadows membentuk avenged sevenfold.

Zacky memplajari cara bermain gitar ketika dia berumur tiga belas tahun. Dia belajar secara otodidak (persis banget kaya gue, gue juga belajar otodidak pada umur 13 tahun.., hehe moga" gue bisa seperti zacky ). Gitar yang pertama kali ia gunakan adalah gitar ayahnya.

Biografi

Syn mendapatkan gitar pertamanya dari nenek dan kakeknya. Salah satu lagu pertama yang ia pelajari adalah lagu stairway to heaven dari Led Zepplin. Ketika Syn duduk di kelas 6, ia sudah bisa menebak chord dari sebuah lagu hanya dengan menggunakan pendengarannya. Setelah Syn diberi gitar. Ia mengatakan bahwa sekolah sudah tidak ada gunanya. Nilai bagus hanya ia peroleh sampai ia duduk di kelas 4.

Syn memasuki grup band a7x sebagai gitaris ketika berumur 18 tahun di akhir 1999 (ya sekitar 2000an sebenarnya). Dia juga memainkan piano pada lagu "Beast and the Harlot" dan "Sidewinder".

Pada masa kecilnya, Matt seringkali di keluarkan dari sekolahnya karena dia berkali kali melakukan kekerasan. Sebelum bernyanyi, Matt bermain bass. Dan 3 kali operasi karena pita suaranya putus. Matt di fonis dokter tidak bisa bernyanyi namun kenyataannya dia dapat bernyanyi sampai sekarang.

Latar Belakang Avenged Sevenfold Yang Tidak Banyak Diketahui Oleh Orang Banyak, Bahkan Wikipedia

Ini adalah sedikit latar belakang Avenged Sevenfold, disini sumbernya adalah dari wikipedia.org tapi di wikipedia.org ada informasi yang kurang lengkap. Dan informasi itu saya tulis disini sebagai postingan pertama ArtikelMewah.Blogspot.com. Disini informasinya saya saji padukan dengan informasi dari bung wiki. Jadi yang telaten yah bacanya.
Avenged Sevenfold atau a7x adalah sebuah band rock Amerika asal huntington beach, california dan terbentuk pada awal tahun 1999 yang mengusung aliran metal core.
Pada awalnya personil a7x hanya terdiri dari 4 orang yaitu :
-M.Shadow - vokal
-Zacky Vengeance - gitar
-The Rev (jimy sulvian) - drum
-Mat wendt - bass

Mulanya semua personil a7x berasal dari kota yang sama (hanya synyster yang baru masuk pada tahun 2000 yang berasal dari sekolah yang sama yaitu huntington beach highschool).
Pada saat Synyster Gates masuk pada tahun 2000, tak lama kemudian sang bassis (mat wendt) keluar dan digantikan oleh justin sane tanpa alasan yang pasti.
Pada saat rekaman album pertama mereka "Sounding the Seventh Troumpet" (a7x merekam album pertama mereka pada umur 18 tahun, tapi setelah ada perubahan personel avenged maka albumnya di mixing lagi dengan ditambahkannya sedikit sentuhan sentuhan picking dan melodi dari syn dalam beberapa lagu), justin sane digantikan oleh daemon ash (kabarnya justin menderita sebuah penyakit yang berhubungan dengan kejiwaan yang menyebabkan dia harus mengundurkan diri, pokoknya ceritanya tragis banget. Kata Shadow, Justine mengidap penyakit dengan kejiwaannya yang disebabkan terlalu banyak mengkonsumsi obat obatan untuk orang sakit jiwa) dan selang satu tahun kemudian daemon ash digantikan oleh jhonny christ.

Avenged sempat dikabarkan mengubah aliran musiknya dari metal core ke alternative metal karena vokalis avenged melakukan operasi pita suara yang dikarenakan sobeknya pita suara sang vokalis yaitu M.Shadow pada sebuah konser. Namun A7x selalu membantah kabar itu di setiap pertemuan maupun setiap kali di wawancarai, mereka bilang perubahan aliran tersebut dikarenakan karena mereka suka bereksperimental dalam bermusik dan mencoba hal-hal yang baru dalam bermain musik.

Nightmare adalah lagu terakhir yang ditulis oleh The Rev. Kabarnya 3 hari setelah The Rev Menulis lagu itu ia pun meninggal. Dan video klip nightmare pun seolah menceritakan akan mimpi buruk yang terburuk band avenged sevenfold, yaitu di tinggalkan drumernya. Pada ending video ini terdapat satu set drum milik the rev lengkap dengan kursi kosong yang bersinar.

Avenged telah mempunyai 15 single dan 5 album saat ini.
